This showcase is designed to work with 7th-12th grade softball athletes. Showcase instructors will work with individuals on both offensive and defensive components of the game. This showcase is designed to provide participants with breakdown skill instruction, game strategy and provide a high level of competition through individual and team development in a competitive environment.
Testing will be a component of the Elite Players Showcase. All participants will be tested on their running times (Home -1st Base) and overhand throwing speed. Pitchers will be tested on their pitching speed and catchers will be tested on their pop time.
Participants will be split into teams and play two games. The game component of the showcase allows the coaching staff to evaluate each participant in game situations.
The showcase will conclude with a question answer session with current Lion softball players and coaching staff.
